Library Info
The library staff understands that books will get lost or damaged. If a book is lost, we encourage you to try to find it. However, if the book is lost or damaged, the book needs to be paid for. Please contact Ms. Rosas at (254)336-1480, so we can find the best way to help.

Overdue books will need to be returned as soon as possible. If you have circumstances that prevent you from returning your book on time, please share it with the library team. Also, if a book is overdue and you would like to renew it, you must have the book in hand in order to renew it.

VolunteersVolunteers are needed! We welcome all volunteers to help with shelving books, making copies, laminating, or helping with the book fair.
Library VisitsStudents come to the library every other week for a library lesson. The students in Pre-K through 1st will check out one book. The students in grades 2nd through 5th will check out two books.
Battle of the BooksThe Battle of the Books competition is in full effect this year! We will be selecting team members from grades 3-5 to join and compete, If you are interested in participating in the Battle of the Books, please stop by the library to get an application. You have to also have permission from your teacher to participate. Good luck!

Library ProjectsThroughout the year, we will have various projects due. Students can have fun learning and reading when creating these projects.
Book FairCedar Valley Library will host three books fairs.
Six Flags Read to SucceedSix Flags Read to Succeed begins in October. Please be on the lookout for more information regarding Six Flags Read to Succeed. Students who read for 6 hours and track are eligible for a free ticket to Six Flags.
Schlitterbahn Waves of PagesSchlitterbahn Waves of Pages will begin in November. Students who read for 10 hours and track it will be eligible for a Schlitterbahn ticket. More information to come.
